GOST R 52645 High Strength Structural Nuts
GOST R 52645 High Strength Structural Nuts are designed for structural bolted connections where high clamping forces are required to secure steel components. The large width across flats provides a broad wrench-engagement surface, making the nut suitable for use with the matching high-strength structural bolt and washer.
These nuts are normally selected as part of a complete structural fastening assembly rather than as an individual component. The nut property class, thread size, bolt grade, washer arrangement, and joint requirements should be matched to ensure that the assembled connection can achieve the required preload. GOST R 52645-2006 specifies Grade B high-strength structural nuts in property classes 8 and 10 and corresponds to ISO 4775:1984. We can supply the required sizes, materials, surface finishes, and packaging according to project specifications and matching structural bolt requirements.

Specification:
GOST R 52645-2006 specifies high-strength hexagon nuts with large width across flats for structural bolting. The standard defines the nut dimensions, internal thread, accuracy class, mechanical requirements, surface quality, and requirements for achieving the specified tightening force. The standard covers metric sizes from M16 to M48, including preferred and non-preferred sizes.
The internal metric thread has a 6H tolerance field and is specified with reference to GOST 24705 and GOST 16093. The nuts are manufactured to product accuracy grade B according to GOST R ISO 4759-1. Mechanical properties and proof-load requirements are specified according to GOST R 52643, with the applicable property class selected according to the structural fastening requirements. For high-strength structural joints, the surface condition of the mating bolt and nut threads is important because the tightening behavior of the complete assembly depends on the coefficient of nut rotation. GOST R 52645 therefore specifies requirements for controlling the tightening coefficient, with the test procedure defined by GOST R 52643. Surface discontinuities are controlled according to GOST R ISO 6157-2.

Dimension Chart of GOST R 52645 High Strength Structural Nuts:
GOST R 52645 nuts are designed with a large width across flats for high-strength structural bolting. The larger wrench dimension is an important part of the nut geometry and should be matched with the corresponding structural bolt and available installation space.
The dimension chart covers the key measurements used to select the nut, including nominal thread diameter, thread pitch, width across flats, and nut height. The thread size should match the structural bolt, while the nut dimensions should be checked together with the mating bolt and washer as part of the complete connection.
For structural projects with specific bolt lengths, nut dimensions, coatings, marking, or packaging requirements, production can be arranged according to the applicable project specification or drawing.

Application of GOST R 52645 High Strength Structural Nuts:
Steel Building Structures
GOST R 52645 nuts are used with high-strength structural bolts to connect steel columns, beams, plates, bracing members, and other load-bearing components. The nut forms part of the bolted joint responsible for maintaining the required clamping force.
Bridges and Infrastructure
These nuts are suitable for bridge construction and large steel infrastructure, where high-strength bolted connections are used to join substantial structural members. The nut, bolt, and washer are selected as a matched fastening system for the connection.
Heavy Steel and Industrial Structures
GOST R 52645 nuts can also be used in industrial steel frames, towers, heavy fabricated structures, and other large-scale steel assemblies where controlled tightening and high-strength fastening are required.
