ASME/ANSI B18.2.2 Hex Flange Nuts
ASME/ANSI B18.2.2 Hex Flange Nuts combine a standard hexagonal nut with an integral flange that extends the bearing surface beneath the nut. The wider flange provides increased contact with the mating component and can help distribute clamping pressure over a larger area than a conventional hex nut.
