DIN7603 Sealing Washers
DIN 7603 Sealing Washers are metal sealing rings used to create a tight seal between threaded components and their mating surfaces. When the fastener or threaded plug is tightened, the washer is compressed against the sealing faces, helping compensate for minor surface irregularities and reduce the risk of fluid leakage.
Form A is a common flat design for use with threaded plugs, drain plugs, hydraulic fittings, valves, pumps, and other fluid-handling components. Copper, aluminum, and other material options can be selected according to the pressure, temperature, media, and operating environment. The washer dimensions are available in different combinations of inside diameter, outside diameter, and thickness, allowing the sealing ring to be matched to the corresponding threaded connection and sealing surface.

Specification:
DIN 7603 Sealing Washers are supplied in different materials to suit different sealing conditions. T3 copper is suitable for applications where the washer needs to conform to minor surface irregularities during tightening, while aluminum provides a lightweight metal sealing option. Red vulcanized fibre (red fibre) washers can be used where a softer, non-metallic sealing material is preferred. The sealing performance depends on the material, washer thickness, sealing surface condition, tightening force, temperature, and working medium. Dimensions are manufactured according to DIN 7603, with the inner diameter, outer diameter, and thickness selected according to the required threaded connection.

Dimension Chart of DIN7603 Sealing Washers:
The size of a DIN 7603 sealing washer is determined mainly by the inside diameter, outside diameter, and material thickness. These dimensions need to work together with the threaded plug and its sealing face to provide sufficient contact after tightening. The chart below gives the available dimensions for each washer size. When selecting a sealing washer, check the thread size, sealing surface diameter, washer thickness, and available installation space rather than choosing the washer only by its nominal thread size.

Application of DIN7603 Sealing Washers:
Hydraulic and Fluid Connections
DIN 7603 sealing washers can be used on hydraulic fittings, valves, pumps, drain plugs, and fluid connections where a compressed sealing element is required between two metal surfaces. Copper and aluminum versions are suitable for applications where a metal sealing ring is preferred.
Oil and Mechanical Equipment
T3 copper sealing washers are commonly used around oil drain plugs, lubrication systems, gearboxes, compressors, and mechanical equipment. The washer deforms under tightening pressure, helping fill small surface irregularities at the joint.
General Sealing and Maintenance
Aluminum and red vulcanized fibre washers provide alternative sealing solutions for different equipment and maintenance requirements. They can be used for plugs, pipe fittings, fuel or fluid systems, pneumatic equipment, and general mechanical connections, with the material selected according to the medium, temperature, pressure, and sealing surface.
